Anyone born in 2008 turns 18 in 2026. Until the 2026 birthday they are still 17. In general: 2026 minus the year of birth gives the age from the birthday on; before it you are one year younger. The table on this page lists every year of birth from 1940 to 2025.
Born in 1988, you turn 38 in 2026 and are 37 before the birthday. More examples for 2026: born 1969 turns 57, 1981 turns 45, 1982 turns 44, 1989 turns 37, 1996 turns 30, 1998 turns 28, 2001 turns 25, 2004 turns 22 and 2007 turns 19.
Multiply the full years of age by 12 and add the months since your last birthday. Example: 30 years and 4 months are 30 × 12 + 4 = 364 months. The calculator shows your age in years, months and days, which gives the age in months directly.
The calculator determines the difference between your date of birth and today (or a chosen target date) as full years, months and days. Months of different lengths and leap years are handled correctly — exactly the way age is stated in everyday life.
10,000 days is roughly 27 years and 4 months. The 10,000th day of life therefore falls around age 27 and is a popular reason to celebrate an unusual "birthday". The calculator shows you the exact date of your next round day of life.
By default the calculator counts up to today. If you enter a future target date, it also shows a countdown — for example to a milestone birthday, an exam or a holiday. If the target date is in the past, it calculates your age as of that exact date.
No. The calculator works on a daily basis using the calendar date. The exact time of birth is not included because it is irrelevant to age, days lived and weekday. Day-level accuracy is entirely sufficient for the usual figures.
